It has begun!!!!

So I was riding in the car today and I heard “Sweet Home Alabama” by Lynyrd Skynyrd. After the song ended the DJ mentioned that he thought Skynyrd was the greatest southern rock band ever. Now I’m not saying that I agree or disagree with this statement but it got me thinking. Was Skynyrd the greatest southern rock band ever?

So I decided to take this one to the streets. I put together the greatest rock minds in the history of the world and we came up with the list of bands in this poll. We also included the songs that we thought most people would be most familiar with.

There were a couple on the list that were a bit “controversial” so here is the criteria we used in deciding who made the list.

At least 2 guitar players, 3 is better
Lots and lots of hair. Be it facial or head or even… well, you get the idea
If you have a guy in the band who is wearing a shirt with no sleeves…bonus

Hank Williams Jr. made it in on the strength of the Monday Night Football song. Black Crows made it in even though they technically aren’t “classic” southern rock.

Ok, so here we go again. I’m trying to revive the jeanandrachel site. I know its confusing, for those of you who have been following us for a while, to find us. So I’m going to try and keep things updated here instead of jarboefamily.blogspot.com.

Ok, enough of the formal stuff. Here’s what we’ve been up to lately…

Jack has been growing up. Its true. He’s getting so big, and his vocabulary is growing by leaps and bounds. It’s mind bottling. He’s also been sick a lot lately. I guess between the weather being so weird and all the babies at daycare licking the same toys it’s hard for a boy to stay well. It’s awesome. /End Sarcasm. I’m going to be posting updated pics later. He also got his hand stuck in an elevator. Rachel had brought him to the courthouse to pick me up from work one day. He was riding the elevators up and down. As the door opened it sucked his hand into the door. Rachel had to YANK it out and needless to say it was pretty bad. His hand was bruised for many days. He now pretends like that hand gets stuck in any and everything, from the fridge to a pillow. I think he has a little bit of baby post traumatic stress syndrome.

We’ve found out that Murphy has seizures. He doesn’t have the full grand Mal seizures, but he has a focal seizure that manifests in his head. When he seizes he looks like he has Parkinson’s. The vet told us that he shouldn’t be uncomfortable when he’s having them and that as long as he doesn’t fall down stairs or something of that nature he should be fine.

Rachel is doing well and staying very busy with work. She’s also been really into Patricia Cornwell novels and Facebook. And she’s going back to school. She is going to be a hot coed. Just kidding, but not really. Seriously she is going back to school to get her learning on. Right now it looks like she is going to be a radiologic technologist

Jean is awesome.

Kris is also awesome.
